Let There Be Light!

Welcome to the 14th annual Las Vegas Jewish Film Festival.

Through the art of film, the LVJFF provides insight into Jewish identity, history, and culture, and promotes solidarity with Israel and the remembrance of the Holocaust.

The 2015 LVJFF is produced by the Desert Space Foundation and the Adelson Educational Campus with major support provided by Adelson Family Foundation, Jewish Federation of Las Vegas, Israeli American Council, and generous contributions from businesses, organizations, and numerous individual donors in our community..

The LVJFF dedicates this year’s film festival to the memory and magnanimous heart of Victor Chaltiel. A special screening of one of Victor’s favorite movies, THE MAD ADVENTURES OF RABBI JACOB, will remind us of his tremendous joie de vivre. Special recognition is due this year to the synergistic film selection committee consisting of Leslie Smith Rosen, Upper School Head, Adelson Educational Campus; her husband James Hyder, Editor/Publisher of LF Examiner (the independent journal of the large format motion picture industry); and Sandy and Paul Schiffman, Head of School, Adelson Educational Campus. The exceptional collaboration of these individuals resulted in a great film program for our community.

TICKETS: Admission is free to educators and students. Film Festival tickets are $10.00 each and are good for any one film in the festival schedule on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited and will depend on availability. Seating is not guaranteed. In the unlikely possibility that an individual screening becomes sold out, ticket holders unable to be seated will receive a $10.00 refund and be able to use their ticket for any other film in the remainder of the festival. Tickets are available through the Presenting Sponsors and online.

Thank you for all of the encouragement, investment and support from everyone who has contributed to help sustain our community’s Jewish Film Festival.

Joshua Abbey, Director, LVJFF
